exercise, salad, and going natural.

So, yesterday afternoon I decided that I was tired of sitting on my butt and always talking about how I should exercise, instead of actually doing it. So I got up, put on some work out clothes, and pulled out the wii fit. I worked out for an hour, and I burned 70 calories! I know that probably isn't really that much, but for a person like me who avoids physical activity like the plague, it seemed like a lot.
I also made up a personal fitness routine that is supposed to get me in shape for summer if I do it every other day. I think that is very resonable, and I would like to be able to do it every day, but obviously some days I will just not have the time.
I've also decided that I am going to make myself eat salad at least twice a week. I hate salad with a passion, so this is big for me.  But salads are healthy, and they fill you up, and I really just need to stop being such a picky eater.

These are some salads that I found that I think look pretty decent.  I have decided that I can tolerate spinach leaves (I really really hate lettuce for some reason) so my mom bought a bag at the store the other day. I also like the idea of putting fruits, and grilled chicken in salads, because it makes them less gross. I found a "dressing" that I really like as well. I put that into quotes because it's barely a dressing at all.
This is it, obviously. Its actually really good!

Moving on...as I've talked about before, this year I've really struggled with acne issues.  I've tried pretty much everything. I even went to a dermatolgist, and he gave me an official perscription for a pill, and this nasty cream that smells like old fried food and rotten potatoes(yes, really) and was WAY too expensive. So, after many days of frustration and tears because nothing was working, and my face felt absolutely disgusting, I researched a natural approach to fighting acne.
Here are the products that I use, that are actually working.

this is a life saver. It a rollerball spot stick, by Yes to Tomatoes. This stick is pretty small, and easy to carry with you. Also, it works great with my sinsitive skin, because the acids in it are all natural!

I know that it isn't natural or organic or anything, but I will swear by this stuff. It's not an acne fighter, but it does keep your skin nice and clean. It has a very gentle formula, so it doesn't irritate or cause dryness.

I use these Yes to Cucumbers (same link as the Yes to Tomatoes) facial towlettes, to clear off all my makeup at night. These towlettes are AMAZING. They don't irritate my face at all, and they also have aloe vera and dead sea minerals in them. Plus, they are pretty cheap!  Taking off your make-up ever.single.night. is really important in the journey to clearer skin!

Those are the products that I use to clean my face. This is what I use for makeup...woohoo!
This foundation is great! I found that when I was using drug store foundation, it was just clogging up my pores and making my skin super oily. Therefore, making my acne worse. So I looked up natural foundations online, and decided to go with this one. Its kind of pricy, but it seriously lasts forever, and it leaves my skin feeling soft, not gross.

I use this Redness Reducing mineral loose powder by Clinique.  It's super light weight and leaves my skin looking healthy and covered, without the overpowdered look that can often happen.

Well there you have it! Sorry if this was super boring, but then again, no one was forcing you to read it ;)
